Welcome Message from the Danish Maritime Community

Dear Colleague,

The international GST 2012 event, organised by Informa Maritime Events and now in its 9th year, comes to Copenhagen in March 2012. We are seeing continued activity in the maritime community on the environmental front in order to meet the challenges posed by climate change and the increasing focus on shipping’s effect on the environment.

The programme put together by the organisers for this event covers key environmental issues facing the industry today, from developing technological innovations and efficient design to reduce shipping’s environmental impact, to accessing the funding and financial initiatives that are available for new technology and exploring the benefits of maritime clusters, both large and small.

It is with great pleasure that the Danish maritime community supports what promises to be a stimulating and essential event.

We look forward to seeing you at this important international meeting here in Copenhagen, and to learning the latest on technical advances and practical advice from a first-class panel of speakers.
