Understanding EEDI & SEEMP Seminar was held on 25th September 2012
The seminar, UNDERSTANDING EEDI AND SEEMP was a practical guide to implementation of these two important pieces of IMO regulation.
The seminar examined methodology and verification of EEDI formula and gave an introduction to and development of a SEEMP. The two sessions included case studies and interactive discussions, with expert advice from AK Seah, ABS and Martial Claudepierre, Bureau Veritas

At Green Ship Technology Asia 2012, attendees discussed concerns, raised issues and exchanged views on:
- Improving and maintaining green shipping initiatives in Asia
- Highlighted the shipper's perspective and their demands for transparency in the supply chain
- Shipowners' and operators' energy efficiency strategies and cost reduction initiatives
- Development of guidelines for ballast water sampling and harmonisation of testing regimes

- Focused sessions covered key environmental issues facing the industry today
